The 2-Door Interlocking Module is a high-security access-control device designed to control two doors arranged in an airlock or mantrap configuration. Its main function is to ensure that only one of the two doors can be unlocked or opened at a time, preventing both doors from being open simultaneously.

How it works

The module receives the status of Door 1 and Door 2 through door sensors. When a user requests access through one door, the module first checks that the other door is closed and secured. If it is, the requested door is released.

While that door is open, the module keeps the second door locked. The second door can only be released after the first door has returned to its secure/closed state.
