Product Description

The ABT-60 Beam Sensor is a dual-beam active infrared photoelectric security detector designed for perimeter and intrusion protection. It consists of a transmitter and receiver that create two invisible infrared beams across a protected area. When an intruder interrupts both beams simultaneously, the receiver detects the interruption and activates its alarm relay.

How it works

The transmitter sends two pulsed infrared beams toward the receiver. During normal operation, both beams are continuously received. When a person crosses the protected zone and blocks both beams, the receiver recognizes the interruption and changes the alarm relay state, allowing it to trigger a connected alarm or security system.

The two-beam arrangement helps reduce false alarms caused by small objects such as birds, leaves, or other brief beam interruptions. The interruption time can also be adjusted according to the environment and desired detection sensitivity.
