Product Description

The Centurion FLUX Inductive Loop Detector is a single-channel vehicle detection device designed for use with automatic gates, traffic barriers, and other vehicle-access control systems. It works with an inductive loop of wire installed in or beneath the road surface. When a vehicle passes over the loop, the metal mass of the vehicle changes the loop's electromagnetic field, allowing the FLUX detector to recognize the presence of the vehicle.

How it works

A wire loop is installed in the ground, normally across the area where vehicles will pass. The FLUX detector monitors the electrical characteristics of this loop. When a vehicle enters the loop's detection zone, its metal body changes the inductance of the loop. The detector recognizes this change and sends an output signal to the connected gate motor, traffic barrier, access-control system, or other controller.
