The Ubiquiti UniFi U6-LR is a high-performance, ceiling- or wall-mounted wireless access point designed to provide extended-range, high-capacity Wi-Fi coverage for homes, offices, hotels, schools, and enterprise networks. It uses Wi-Fi 6 technology and features 8 spatial streams, with 4×4 MIMO on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios.
The U6-LR supports speeds of up to 2.4 Gbps on 5 GHz and 600 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, providing an aggregate theoretical radio rate of approximately 3 Gbps. It can cover up to 185 m² (2,000 ft²) and support 350+ clients, depending on the deployment environment.
It features a Gigabit Ethernet uplink and is powered using 802.3at PoE+, simplifying installation by carrying both power and data over a single network cable. Its IP54-rated enclosure also makes it suitable for indoor and covered outdoor deployments. The access point can be centrally configured and managed through the UniFi Network platform, with features such as wireless meshing, fast roaming, band steering, guest isolation, VLAN support, and captive portal functionality.
